Takoma Park is a close-knit community with a small-town feel. Hosting a number of annual events, residents have many opportunities throughout the year to get out and connect with other Takoma Park residents. On the Fourth of July, locals gather along Maple Avenue and Carroll Avenue to watch the annual parade. Each year Takoma Park residents await the highly anticipated Takoma Park Street Festival. Over 150 vendors, 18 live music bands, and local cuisine grace Carroll Avenue for this exciting, one-day event.

Music lovers rejoice in Takoma Park over a number of annual events to look forward to. The Takoma Park Folk Festival is held on the Lee Jordan Field in September. Six music stages, international food options, a craft fair, and children’s games are enjoyed. Every June, the Takoma Park Jazz Festival brings a day of jazz music to the streets of Takoma Park. Guests can enjoy local and national artists, food, and craft vendors.
